One day, a family walked into the office: a mother, a father, and their little daughter, not even two years old.
The girl had teary eyes and looked deeply saddened. Her parents also looked tense and seemed to have no idea what to do.
— May we speak to the police uncle? — the father asked the receptionist softly.
— I’m sorry, sir, but I don’t quite understand… Why have you come here, and who exactly do you want to speak to? — the receptionist replied in surprise.
The man sat up and let out an uncomfortable sigh.
— Look… our daughter has been crying for days. We can’t seem to calm her down. She keeps saying that she wants to talk to a police uncle to confess to a crime.
She is barely eating, crying constantly, and can’t properly explain what happened. I’m really sorry, this is quite embarrassing, but… maybe one of the officers has a few minutes for us?
This conversation was accidentally overheard by one of the sergeants. He walked up to them and squatted down in front of the girl.
